アイドルヲタクの震災体験回想録

去年(2018年)の9月6日に起きた、北海道胆振東部地震から1年ほど経ちました。
2003年の十勝沖地震以来、震度5強以上の地震に遭遇するのは2回目でした。

去年の地震で色々と被害を受けましたが、実はアイドルヲタクをやっていたが故に救われたこともありました。

というわけで、回想録的なものを画像多めで書いていきます。

1.遠征帰りに地震発生

実は、地震が起きる数時間前まで遠征に行っていました。

詳細は忘れましたが、ネオジャポニズムのイベントへ行った翌日に成田から札幌に帰るというスケジュールだった気がします。

新千歳空港に無事着いたのは良いものの、台風21号が猛威を奮った直後で電車が止まっており、みんな我先に街へ出ようとする状態。
結局空港で足止めを喰らい、日付が変わる少し前にやっと家に着きました。

そして、ようやく寝ついた頃。
地響きのような凄まじい音が聞こえて目を覚ましました。

身の危険を感じすぎたのか、その場から動けなくなって呆然としていた気がします。

この地震を境に、3日に及ぶ不便極まりない生活が始まりました。

2.テレビをつけるもすぐに停電

かなり大きな揺れによって「これはヤバい」と感じた自分は、間もなくしてテレビで情報収集を開始。

のはずが、わずか数分ほどで停電が起きてしまい、街そのものが真っ暗になってしまいました。
外を偵察しに近くの大通りに出ると、結構な人数が真っ暗なコンビニの前でスマホを凝視していたり、話をしていたり。

明らかに普通ではなかったのが印象深かったです。

家に戻った僕は、とりあえず明かりを確保すべく手段を考え始めました。
「懐中電灯は電池のストックがないから、あんまり使いたくないなあ…ん？」

そうだ、ペンライトがあるじゃないか。

これのお陰でかなり助かりましたね。
ヲタクやってて本当に良かった。
結局電池を使う羽目にはなりましたけどね。

どうも白色は電池の減りが早いらしく、CY8ERの推し色である緑を長時間点灯させていました。
緑色の光の中で3日近く過ごすだなんて、後にも先にもあの時だけでしょう。

3.3日続いた食糧危機

地震と停電が起きた時点で想像はつきましたが、食べ物の確保が困難になりました。
スーパーへ行くも、不謹慎ながらチェキ列か握手会でしか見ないレベルで長蛇の列が出来るこの状態。

コンビニへ行くも、オープン前の店舗と見間違えるほど何もないこの有り様。

この日まともに手に入ったものといえば、トライアルに1時間以上並んでようやく手に入れた飲み物ぐらいだったと思います。

それでもありがたかったですけどね。

と、こんな感じで食べ物が手に入らない事態になり、札幌圏のどのスーパーもコンビニもこんな感じでした。

4.食べ物を求めて25km

「避難所に行けば、カレーを食べさせてもらえる」というガセネタを掴んでしまった僕と友人達。
すでに2日間まともに食べていない状態で3km先の避難所へ乞食をしに行くも、当然何も得られず終わりました。

ここ札幌郊外はもはや終わりだと半分絶望の中、友人達と最後の希望をかけて札幌中心部へと自転車を走らせました。
コンビニが集中しているエリアだからです。

その道の途中、札幌郊外から札幌駅付近まで目に入ったコンビニ全てをチェックするも結果は同じでした。
不安になりながら約20kmを自転車で行き、さらに約5kmを徒歩で行き、諦めかけた頃にようやくパン2つを買うことができました。

この時ほど、食べ物のありがたみを感じた瞬間はありませんでした。

5.その後

なんだかんだで振り返ってみると、地震の3日目で停電が復旧し、4日目あたりからはなんとか食べ物が入手できるようになっていました。
1週間経つ頃にはほとんど元の生活に戻っていたので、割と長く見えてそうでもなかったです。

そして何よりありがたいと思ったのが、Twitterを通してヲタ仲間の方々が色々と声をかけてくれたことです。
やはり精神的にはかなり救われていたので、ペンライトの話と同じく「ヲタクをやってて良かった」と実感しました。

3日間食べ物も電気もない辛い状態でしたが、ヲタクであることがそれを乗り越える糧の一つになっていたと思います。
